Lava lamp bulb and safety instructions
FITTING BULBS
- Handle the bulb with great care; bulbs are extremely delicate.
- Allow the bulb to warm to room temperature.
- Made sure your lava lamp is in the correct position.
- Use a tissue to hold the bulb; deposits on our fingers can damage the bulb.
GU10 bulbs: Carefully push the two prongs of the bulb down into the socket and turn it a quarter-turn clockwise until it stops rotating.
SES bulbs: Carefully screw the bulb in and rotate clockwise for three turns or until it meets resistance.
- Place the bottle on the base delicately.
- Turn the lamp on using the inline switch.
Important
- Never touch the bulb or the lamp when it is on.
- Allow the light to cool for one hour before touching the bulb or lamp.
- Do not run your lava lamp for more than 6 hours at any one time.
- Always leave the bottle sitting on the base when you turn it on.

WARNING: HOT SURFACE – ELECTRICAL PRODUCT
This lava lamp is an electrical appliance designed for decorative indoor use only. During normal operation, the lamp becomes extremely hot.
Failure to follow the instructions below may result in burns, fire, electric shock, injury, or property damage.
General Safety
- Not a toy. Adult use only.
- For indoor use only.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets at all times.
- Do not use outdoors or in wet, damp, or humid environments.
- Do not leave the lamp unattended while switched on.
Hot Surface & Burn Risk

- Lamp surfaces become extremely hot during operation.
- Do not touch the lamp while in use or while cooling.
- Allow at least 60 minutes to cool completely before handling or moving.
- Contact with hot surfaces may cause serious burns.
Fire Safety
- Place the lamp on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.
- Keep at least 36 inches (1 metre) away from curtains, bedding, paper, furniture, clothing, and other flammable materials.
- Do not cover the lamp.
- Do not place near open flames or other heat sources.
Electrical Safety

- Use only the specified bulb type and wattage.
- Using an incorrect bulb may cause overheating, fire, or damage.
- Do not operate if the cord, plug, or lamp is damaged.
- Do not modify the lamp, cord, or plug.
- Always unplug when not in use and before cleaning.
Operating Time
⚠️ Do Not Overheat
- Maximum continuous operating time: 6–8 hours.
- Switch off after use and allow the lamp to cool fully before restarting.
- Overheating may cause glass failure, leakage, or fire risk.
Glass & Handling
⚠️ Glass Container Under Pressure
- The lamp contains liquid and wax sealed under pressure.
- Do not shake, drop, tilt, or invert the lamp.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes.
- If the glass breaks:
- Unplug immediately (if safe to do so)
- Avoid contact with contents or broken glass
- Keep children and pets away
- Dispose of according to local regulations
Cleaning & Care
- Always unplug and allow the lamp to cool fully before cleaning.
- Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth only.
- Do not immerse in water or use cleaning chemicals.
- No user-serviceable parts inside.
